How to Remove McAfee

McAfee is one of the premier providers of antivirus programs.

Before removing yours, make sure that you have another program ready to load.

Virus, Trojans, and worms, are an ever-present threat on the Internet, and no computer should be without protection when connected.

Removing a McAfee program from Windows XP, is done much like any other. First go to Start, then Settings, and the Control Panel. In there, select Add/Remove Programs.

When the list of programs is loaded, highlight the McAfee program and then click Change/Remove, and if asked whether you want to remove this program, click OK or Yes.

If you are removing a McAfee program from Windows 2000, 98 or other operating system, when you highlight the program and go to remove it from the list, you may then get a McAfee specific window, that will lead you through a short, uninstall process.
