How to Remove Bumper Stickers
People place
bumper stickers on cars for all sorts of reasons. For some
we like to support our home baseball team, members of
the Armed forces, or our kids schools.
On the other
hand, you may have acquired a used car that has bumper
stickers that you find objectionable.
In either
case, here are tips to learn how to remove bumper
stickers.
You will need
a can of lubricant that you can apply to the bumper
sticker.
After it has
been applied and has been on for at least 30 minutes, use a
clean cloth to begin wiping the sticker off the
bumper.
The second
method you can use is to add hot boiling water to a bucket
and wet the bumper sticker. Continue wetting the
sticker until you can begin to peel it off
gently.
By adding
water, however, you may increase the intensity of the glue
and have a harder time removing the sticker.
Consequently,
take a blow dryer direct it on the sticker for a minute.
This will weaken the adhesive of the sticker, and make it
easier to peel off. Then scratch off the sticker with a
plastic spatula.
Next, dip a
rag in rubbing alcohol and wipe off the remains of the
adhesive. Lastly, buff the area with wax and give a final
polish.
