How to Get Rid of Hickies
Hickies are temporary mark or light bruise on the skin, when a person engages in kissing or sucking (not
necessarily biting), and with enough force to burst blood vessels from or beneath the skin.
People tend to use several funny clichés to describe it. Names such as “love bites,” “"love-marks", "passion marks" or "tramp stamps” are common amongst former and current victims. So just how do you get rid of hickies?
Hickies are commonly associated with the neck, but it’s possible to afflict any part of the skin. Most times, the effect is light and not medically threatening.
However, most people are often ashamed to carry it about for others to see, especially as it may take up to fives day to get removed or fade away completely. So, in trying to remove hickies faster than normal, most methods suggested and applied are weird, though they’ve been effective for ‘victims’ who used them secretly.
For example, it’s suggested to apply ice, immediately after the mark, so as to stop it from worsening. If there is bleeding, wait for it to stop and then rub the affected area several times and expose it to lukewarm water. But care must be taken not to cause further irritation to affected skin area when applying this method,
You can also prepare a paste of baking powder, mix with water and salt, and apply all around your neck area. Repeat this process several times, mostly early in the morning and at night for about four to five days.
A hurtful remedy could be to use hurt-tar substance that would cause or stimulate chemical burns on the skin. It will remove the top layer of the affected area of skin. If you can bear the pains, this method is highly proven to remove hickies or any residual marks very fast.
